The iconic TUKAN desk lamp is one of the most recognizable icons of postmodern design from the 1980s and 1990s. The lamp is made entirely of plastic. CARBIDE railway lamp by the Viennese company Lininger & Co. The lamp, made of sheet steel, glass, and wood, was commissioned by the German railways and was in use during the interwar period and thereafter. All essential components of the lamp are preserved; the reflector, which was likely located inside the body, is missing. Minor scuffs.
